In order to secure the wedding vision in your head to paper and ultimately to reality, I usually arrange two or three face to face meetings, either at my place of business, my clients’ or in either home, wherever feels most comfortable for you. During those meetings, as we get to know each other, we plan the ceremony, creating a structure around the legal and binding elements, incorporating any traditional, cultural or personally significant elements, making the ceremony unique and individual to you.
Legally required paperwork is completed, along with some questions and conversation to help me understand the shape and flavour of the vision. Although most people have the vision in their head, I have a guide which includes a series of quotes, texts, poems and song choices that can be used for inspiration and ideas if needed.
After the first meeting, a script is prepared and fine-tuned over following weeks, in collaboration with yourselves, until the final version is prepared and used at the ceremony. This includes timings, words to be spoken and the running order of events for everyone in the wedding (or other ceremony) party. This is put into practice at the rehearsal, just prior to the ceremony. From the initial planning meeting, we remain in contact until the day of the ceremony
